Behind every deficiency balance, repossession, and collection call is a real person. This page collects the experiences of people who borrowed from American Credit Acceptance — in their own words. When you sign up for the class-action list and tell us what happened, we may invite you to have your story featured here.
These are personal experiences and opinions, shared voluntarily by individual borrowers and published only with their permission. They are not statements of fact by MultiGen Law Institute, and they are not legal advice. Stories are featured using first name and state only, unless a person asks to remain anonymous.
In their own words
What we ask when you share your story
You do not need to be a writer, and you do not need to have all the paperwork. Just tell us what happened in your own words. It helps to include:
- Roughly when you took out the loan and what you were financing.
- What went wrong — the interest and fees, a repossession, a deficiency balance, credit-reporting problems, or collection contact.
- How it affected you and your family.
- What you wish other borrowers knew before signing with American Credit Acceptance.
